Stevenage Borough moved up to 7th tonight after beating play-off fellow playoff contenders, Carlisle United 2 - 1 at Brunton Park. Two goals in two minutes by Daryn Stamp gave Boro a 2 - 0 lead at the break. An 80th minute penalty, put away by Chris Lumsdon gave Carlisle a glimmer of hope and made for a tense finish, but Stevenage Borough held on for all 3 points to help their promotion push.
A Stevenage fan told Beesmad: "Good result for us... should set us up nicely for our run in, Daryn Stamp looks to be a great signing to."

In the evenings other fixtures. Accrington Stanley from a goal down drew with 6th place Halifax Town 1-1 after being a goal down. Halifax took the lead with a goal from Sugden in the 60th minute Accrington then levelled late on by Craney at the Interlink and they now go in to second place.

York City beat Exeter City to help them try and get out of trouble Merris scoring in the 62nd minute. Bottom club Leigh RMI got a shock result at Tamworth winning 1-0 with a last minute winner from Peers. In Yesterday's match Crawley beat Morecambe 2-1.Robinson and Jenkins in the first half for Crawley and then Twiss scored for morecambe in the second half but it wasnt enough.

And the best question of the evening is though. Are Carlisle trying to go down???
