Ahmed Abdulla joined Barnet in the summer of 2012 from Dagenham & Redbridge, having previously played for Swindon Town and West Ham, where new Barnet boss, Mark Robson had been youth team coach.

Abdulla, who is from Saudi Arabia, made his Bees’ debut in the opening game of the season, at Birmingham City in the 1st round of the Carling cup, which Barnet lost 5-1 and his league debut came away at Port Vale on the opening day of the 2012/13 league season. Vale won 3-0.

Subsequently, he was in and out of the team under Robson and upon the arrival of Edgar Davids at Barnet, failed to make another first team appearance that season. Abdulla made 4 league starts plus 2 appearances as substitute and the Carling Cup start at Birmingham.

Last season, Abdulla was much more a part of the first team squad, even under Davids, though it was a while before he made his first start away at Aldershot. He also scored in the 3-1 home win over Salisbury City after coming on as a substitute. However, in October he came into the side for the away trip to Hereford and scored the only goal of the game and this established him in the side for some time until he lost his place for the FA Trophy game at home to Grimsby Town and never really regained it although he did make a few appearances towards the end of the season and scored from the penalty spot in the final match of the season at Lincoln City. In 2013/14, Abdulla made 15 league starts, plus another 8 appearances as substitute scoring 3 goals and plus 2 FA Cup and 1 FA Trophy starts. In all, Abdulla made 19 league starts, plus 10 sub appearances and scored 3 goals, plus he made 1 League Cup, 2 FA Cup and 1 FA Trophy start for the Bees.

At the end of last season, Abdulla was released by Martin Allen and Barnet Mad wishes him all the best for the future.
