Barnet have signed two players who have played on trial in pre-season friendlies; Charlie MacDonald and Bondz N’Gala. MacDonald played for Oldham Athletic last season but was released in the summer. Charlie began his career at Charlton Athletic where he scored twice in 13 appearances, only two of them starts and had loan spells at Cheltenham Town, Torquay United and Colchester. In 2002, he joined Margate, then a Conference club, but soon after joined Stevenage Borough for a while before moving to Crawley Town, who were then a Southern League club. Crawley, subsequently, gained promotion to the Conference and MacDonald scored 10 goals before joining Gravesend & Northfleet ( now Ebbsfleet), another Conference club in May 2005, where he scored 40 goals in 63 appearances before moving to Southend United in 2007. He failed to really establish himself with the Essex club and joined Brentford in 2008, where he scored 18 goals in his first season and helped Brentford win promotion from League Two. He was the club’s top scorer in 2010/11 and scored 45 goals for the club in over 100 appearances before joining MK Dons in 2011. Charlie scored 11 goals in about 18 months at MK before moving to Leyton Orient and then Oldham where he scored 5 goals in 30 games.

N’Gala began his career at west Ham but only made one substitute appearance in a League Cup match for the Hammers. He went out on loan to Weymouth, MK Dons, Scunthorpe and Plymouth before signing for the Pilgrims in 2010. A year later, he moved to Yeovil Town, where he made 31 league appearances in 2011/12 before joining Stevenage. While at the Hertfordshire club, he had a loan spell with Barnet in early 2013, making 6 first team appearances for the Bees. At the end of the season, he joined Portsmouth and made 31 appearances, scoring 3 goals for Pompey before being released at the end of last season.

Barnet Mad welcomes Charlie and Bondz to Barnet and wishes them a successful stay at the Hive.
