An exciting match, despite the lack of goals, ended all square with both teams settling for a point a piece.
It took just four minutes for Woking new boy Raphael Nade to get a chance to make a name for himself.
Midfielder Ian Hamilton lobbed a pass over the top of the Barnet defence and the hard-working striker found space on the edge of the box. But with a composed finish required, he blasted a hurried left-foot shot hard and wide.
Nade's strike partner Warren Patmore had a fierce goalbound header blocked and Woking kept the pressure on with Stuart Reeks having a deflected shot saved by Barnet keeper Danny Naisbitt.
Barnet might have taken the lead themselves after 25 minutes following a quickfire break instigated by Ben Strevens. A pass out wide to Mark Gower resulted in a deep cross and Junior Agogo hooked the ball back on to the crossbar.
Three minutes later another Gower cross found the head of Strevens six yards out and it produced a wonderful save from Woking keeper Shwan Jalal, who somehow tipped the ball on to the post before the ball was cleared.
Woking started brightly in the second half with Nade causing the Barnet defence cause for concern.
But Gower continued to have a great influence and Jalal had to be at his most alert to block at the feet of Fraser Toms after the midfielder had slid a neat ball through the Cards' rearguard.
A superb tip-over save by Naisbitt from Patmore's header saved a certain goal at one end then Gower's superb chip bounced back off the woodwork at the other.
In a Cup-tie finish, Gower fired wired from a free-kick and Jalal made an incredible flying save from Strevens.
It ended all square with the visitors maybe having shaded an exciting contest
