For the trip to Hereford, Paul Fairclough made just one change from the side that began the game against Wycombe, Anthony Pulis replacing the suspended Rossi Jarvis and with Izale McLeod again playing up front on his own.
Barnet got off to a dreadful start with Richard Rose putting the Bulls ahead in the first minute with a shot from long range. However, after that the Bees enjoyed much the lion’s share of possession in the first half and this eventually paid off when just before the break, Izale MCLEOD scored after being put through by a fine pass from Sam Deering to level things at half time.
HT: Bulls 1 Bees 1
Barnet claimed only their second away win this season when they scored the winner on 78 minutes, a long Joe Devera ball out of defence finding MCLEOD who cleverly lobbed the Hereford keeper, to give the Bees a much needed 2-1 victory and their first double of the season. More importantly, it sets things up well for next Saturday’s vital home game with fellow strugglers, Morecambe
