Luke Daniels joined Shrewsbury in August 2008 on a loan from WBA until January. He was on loan with SPL club, Motherwell last season. He is a former Manchester United trainee. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 17

Graham Coughlan is a 33 year old centre back and another much travelled player, who signed in the summer from Burnley. He has played for Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth, for whom he made over 200 appearances. He made 49 appearances for Rotherham scoring 1 goal. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 22, Goals: 2.

Shane Cansdell-Sherriff joined the club in the summer of 2008. He has also played for Rochdale, Tranmere and AGF Aarhus. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 22, Goals: 2.

Darren Moss is in his second spell at the club having resigned in the summer from Crewe Alexandra. Moss was part of the Shrewsbury team that defeated the Bees in the 2003-04 Conference play offs. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 163(18), Goals: 12.

Kelvin Langmead was formally with Preston and was converted from a striker to a central defender. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 154(20), Goals: 16.

Ben Herd was signed from Watford two years ago and scored the equaliser in Town's 2-2 draw at home to Barnet in 2005-06. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 133(6), Goals: 3.

Neil Ashton has been a regular first teamer since moving to Shrewsbury from Tranmere in January 2005 and who can also play in midfield. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 119(24), Goals: 3.


Ben Davies is a former Kidderminster and Chester City player, who made nearly 150 appearances for Chester. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 94(1), Goals: 26.

Paul Murray joined the Shrews from Gretna in the summer. He previously played for Carlisle, Oldham, QPR and Southampton. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 14(1), Goals: 2.

Steven Leslie is a young player who is a product of the youth system at Shrewsbury. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 15(18), Goals: 1.

Chris Humphrey is a young player, who is a product of the youth system at Shrewsbury. He had a spell on loan with Stafford Rangers. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 17(39), Goals: 1.

Michael Jackson joined Shrewsbury in June 2008 after being released by Blackpool. He is an experienced player who made over 250 appearances for Preston in over 7 years at the club. He has also played for Crewe, Tranmere and Bury. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 16, Goals: 1.

Kevin McIntyre is an experienced former Chester and Macclesfield player, who signed in the January transfer window. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 46(1), Goals: 2.

Terry Dunfield joined the Shrews in the current transfer window and could make his debut at Underhill. Dunfield is a former Bury player who was out of the game for two years with a serious injury before joining Macclesfield last summer. League Appearances for Macclesfield: 52(2), Goals: 2.


Michael Symes joined the Shrews in the summer of 2006, but spent much of last season on loan to Macclesfield Town. He is currently on loan at Bournemouth. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 35(29), Goals: 14.

Dave Hibbert is a former Rotherham player, who joined in the summer of 2007. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 45(15), Goals: 15.

James Constable has arrived at the New Meadow and the former Walsall striker, signed from Kidderminster. Constable made an immediate impact last season at Shrewsbury with 3 goals in 4 appearances, having scored 12 goals already for Kidderminster. He has joined Oxford United on loan. Nick Chadwick is a former Everton and Plymouth striker who has recently joined the Shrews from Hereford. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 0(2).

Jamie White recently joined the Shrews from Southampton. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 3(6), Goals: 1.

Richard Walker joined the Shrews from Bristol Rovers, initially on loan, in July 2008. He has scored 62 goals in over 150 appearances for Rovers and helped them win promotion in 2007 to League One. He started his career at Aston Villa and had loan spells at Cambridge United, Wycombe and Blackpool before joining Blackpool in 2001 for £50,000. He scored 15 goals in just over two years at Bloomfield Road as well as playing for Northampton and Oxford United on loan. He joined Oxford in March 2004, but then moved to Bristol Rovers in the summer of that year. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 13(6), Goals: 4.


Grant Holt joined Shrewsbury in June 2008 for a club record £170,000 from Nottm Forest, where he had helped the club win promotion to the Championship in 2007/08. He made over 100 appearances for Forest, scoring 24 goals after joining them in 2006 for £300,000 from Rochdale. He began his career at Workington and then played for Halifax, Barrow and Sheffield Wednesday before joining Rochdale in 2004. He scored 42 goals in 2 years at Spotland.
