Nick Liversidge is a 19 year old goalkeeper who signed a one year deal for the club in May 2008. League Appearances for Darlington: 9.

Shane Redmond joined Darlington on loan from Nottm Forest in January 2010. He has also had loan spells at Burton Albion and Eastwood Town. League Appearances for Darlington: 10.

Defenders:

Paul Arnison joined Darlington from Bradford City in June 2009. He began his career at Newcastle united before joining Hartlepool after a short loan spell in 2000. In 2003 he joined Carlisle United and helped the Cumbrian club win back to back promotions from the Conference to League One between 2004 and 2006. He joined Bradford City in 2008. Alan White re-joined Darlington from Luton Town in January 2010. a very experienced player, White began his career at Middlesbrough before joining Luton Town for £40,000 in 1997. After making over 80 league appearances for the Hatters, he joined Colchester United on a free transfer in 200 after a short loan spell. He made over 100 league appearnces for Colchester in four seasons at the club, but after leaving the Essex club he became something of a nomad with spells at Boston United, Notts County and Peterborough before re-joining Darlington in 2007. He left Darlington last summer along with most of the other players and joined Luton Town. League Appearances for Darlington: 85(1), Goals: 3.

Dan Burn is a young player who made his league debut for Darlington this season. League Appearances for Darlington: 1(1).

Richie Byrne joined Darlington in February 2010 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Irish defender has mainly played in Scottish football, playing with Dunfermline and Aberdeen early in his career and having a loan spell last season with St. Johnstone. Andrew Milne joined Darlington on loan from Leeds United in January 2010 for his second loan spell at the club. League Appearances for Darlington: 4.

Mark Convery is in his second spell at Darlington having joined the club from Sunderland in 2001. He spent four years at Darlington before joining York City in 2005. Chris Lumsdon joined Darlington from Carlisle United in 2009. He began his career at Sunderland and had loan spells at Blackpool, Crewe and Barnsley before moving to the Yorkshire club in 2001 for £350,000. He joined Carlisle in 2004 and helped them win promotion in successive seasons from the Conference to League One between 2004 and 2006. He made over 150 league appearances for Carlisle. Gary Dempsey joined Darlington from Irish club, St. Patrick’s Athletic in January 2010. He began his career with Waterford United before moving to play in Scotland, first for Dunfermline and then Aberdeen. He has also had a short spell with Yeovil Town. Strikers:

Curtis Main is a product of Darlington’s youth system and broke into the first team last season. League Appearances for Darlington: 15(26), Goals: 5.

Noel Whelan joined Darlington in 2009. Whelan has been the subject of two big fee transfers earlier in his career. He started his career at Leeds United before moving to Coventry City in 1995 for £2m. He scored 31 league goals for the sky blues before moving to Middlesbrough in 2000, but only managed 5 goals in 3 years for the Teesiders.
