He began his career at non-league, Paulton Rovers before joining Bristol City in 1997 and made over 250 league appearnces for City before moving to their rivals, Bristol Rovers in 2006. Harry Worley is on a long term loan deal from Leicester City. He began his career at Stockport County before moving to Chelsea at the age of 16. He has subsequently had loan spells at Doncaster, Luton and Carlisle. He joined Leicester in 2008. League Appearances for Crewe: 18(1), Goals: 1.
Billy Jones joined Crewe from Exeter in the summer of 2007. He has also played for Kidderminster and Leyton Orient. League Appearances for Crewe: 70(1), Goals: 8.

Scott McManus is a young defender who joined Crewe from Curzon Ashton in 2008. He has also played for Stenhousemuir. League Appearances for Crewe: 3(3), Goals: 1.

Patrick Ada joined Crewe from Histon in May 2009. Ada made two appearances as a substitute for Barnet at the end of 2004/05, the season that the Bees won the Nationwide Conference but was not retained by Paul Fairclough. He had a spell at Stevenage before moving to Exeter and joined Histon in 2007. He made more than 70 league appearances for Histon. League Appearances for Crewe: 13.
Mat Mitchel-King joined Crewe in June 2009 from Histon. He made 79 appearances in the Blue Square Premier for Histon. League Appearances for Crewe: 22.
Carl Martin joined Crewe in the summer of 2009 from non-league, Wealdstone. League Appearances for Crewe: 0(3).
Midfield
Simon Walton is on loan from Plymouth. He began his career at Lees United before joining Charlton for £500,000 in 2006. However, he failed to make the first team at the Valley and had loan spells at Ipswich and Cardiff before joining QPR in 2007 for £200,000. After a loan spell at Hull City, he joined Plymouth a year later and has made 13 league appearances for Plymouth. He had a short loan spell at Blackpool last season. Steven Schumacher joined Crewe from Bradford City in 2007. He made over 100 first team appearances for the Bantams. He has also played for Everton, Oldham and Carlisle. League Appearances for Crewe: 53(11), Goals: 7.
Joel Grant joined Crewe from Aldershot in 2008 for £130,000 after helping the Shots win promotion to the football league. He was previously at Watford. League Appearances for Crewe: 46(11), Goals: 8.

Calvin Zola joined Crewe from Tranmere in June 2008. He made over 100 first team appearances for Tranmere. He has also played for Newcastle and Oldham. League Appearances for Crewe: 43(10), Goals: 18.
Shaun Miller is another product of the club’s youth academy who made his first debut in season 2006/07. He has played on loan at Witton Albion. League Appearances for Crewe: 36(39), Goals: 12.
Clayton Donaldson joined Crewe from Hibernian in the summer of 2008. He had joined the SPL club the previous summer from York City where he had scored 41 Conference goals in two seasons. Byron Moore is a product of the youth system at Gresty Road and he made his senior debut in 2007. League Appearances for Crewe: 58(40), Goals: 8.
