Max Porter released by Barnet

Barnet manager, Ian Hendon has told midfield player, Max Porter that he will not be renewing his contract when it expires this summer. Porter who was signed from Bishops Stortford in the summer of 2007 by Paul Fairclough is likely to feature in Barnet's last two matches this season, as Hendon is now getting down to the bare bones of the squad with Matt Lockwood and Jake Cole's loan periods having expired and Cliff Akurang, Danny Hart and Luke Medley all away at other clubs on loan.

Porter made his first team debut as a late substitute at Morecambe in the opening match of last season. He made 51 starts for the club plus another 12 appearances as a substitute and scored 1 goal, in the 5-2 home win over Lincoln City last season. He has played on the right hand side of the midfield and at right back as well as his usual position of central midfield. I'm sure all Bees fans will wish Max all the best for the future.

Meanwhile, Hendon has a number of injury doubts ahead of tomorrow's match at Macclesfield, but there has been some good news on the injury front too. Mark Hughes, who has missed the last 7 matches due to an ankle ligament injury, is in line for a place tomorrow as is on loan, arsenal player, Abu Ogogo who has not played for the Bees since coming on as a substitute in the home match against Shrewsbury Town in January.

Yannick Bolasie plays the last game of his loan spell tomorrow before returning to Plymouth. He has made 16 league starts and made another 3 appearances for the Bees and scored 3 goals. He has been a big hit with the Fans who will be hoping that he will return next season either on a permanent move or maybe a season long loan. He has made a big impact giving Barnet the option of having two wingers and solving the problem position of left midfield that has plagued Barnet all season prior to his arrival.

Keeper, Ran Kadoch is in line for a recall in place of Lee Harrison for tomorrow's match. Kadoch played in the midweek friendly at Grays which the Bees won 1-0. Ian Hendon included a number of trialists as well as Max Porter and Mark Hughes. Barnet's goal was scored by former Millwall player, Lyle Taylor.
