Bees' skipper could be on the move
New Barnet boss, Mark Robson has said that he doesn’t expect Mark Hughes to be given a new contract. The Bees’ captain, who scored the winning goal against Burton Albion on the last day of last season; the goal that kept Barnet in the Football League, is expected to move on.
Robson spoke to the Barnet Times shortly after being appointed by the club, saying that “At the moment we won’t be doing anything with him and I expect him to leave.” Robson went on to say that he will be holding talk with Sam Deering. There was no mention, as yet, about Jack Saville.
The popular Hughes is currently the club’s longest serving player and joined Barnet from Chester City in 2009 and has scored 9 goals from 146 first team appearances.
