Get well soon Ray!
Last Updated : 03-Feb-2005 byRay said:"The news I have had from the doctors so far has been very positive and encouraging."I’m looking forward to getting the treatment out of the way and returning to work as soon as possible."
The England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said: "Everyone wishes Ray a speedy recovery. His enthusiasm and expertise are very important for England at every level."
Ray took over at Barnet in 1995 from legend Player manager Gary "SUMO!!!!!" Phillips after The Bees finished bottom of Division two.
But after just one year Ray was asked by ex-England team mate
Glen Hoddle to be the goalkeeping coach for the England team he said yes and was replaced by Alan Mullery as the Barnet manager. And Ray has stayed goalkeeping coach ever since and has coached under 3 managers.
