Gaffer happy despite defeat

 "Everything was going to plan but then we gave a goal away from a set-piece and the game was lost." were the words of Barnet manager Paul Fairclough as his Bees side crashed out of the Carling Cup losing to Championship side Leeds United 3-1.

"We made a lot of changes to the side and at least we came in at the break only 1-0 down. Paul made eight changes to the side that lost 3-2 to Notts County at the weekend giving a rare first team appearence to striker Liam Hatch who it seems his Barnet days are numbered.

But despite the defeat Paul says the trip was a "learning curve for the young players at the club"

The Bees face strugglers Bury at the weekend at Gigg Lane the Bees will be looking for a win to keep up there push for the play offs.
