Kabba, Marshall and Leach on Stimson's wanted list

Barnet have made offers to three trialists who have been playing in the pre-season friendlies. The players are striker, Steve Kabba, winger, Mark Marshall and central defender, Daniel Leach.

Kabba, who impressed in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Charlton, began his career at Crystal Palace and made ten league appearances for the Eagles and had spells on loan at Southend, Luton and Grimsby while at Selhurst Park. He had a very impressive spell at Grimsby, scoring 6 goals in 13 league matches. In 2002, he moved to Sheffield United for £250,000 and scored 18 goals in 78 league appearances for the Blades before moving to Watford in 2007 for £500,000. He never really established himself at Vicarage Road and was sent out on loan to Blackpool and Oldham before moving to Brentford in 2009 on a free transfer. He had a spell on loan at Burton albion last season scoring 6 goals in 23 league matches.

Mark Marshall came up through non-league football with Carshalton, Grays, where he played under Mark Stimson and Eastleigh before joining Swindon Town in 2008. He made 19 league appearances for the Robins in two years at the club, though all but one of them were from the subs bench. He had a spell on loan at Hereford last season making 8 league appearances for the Bulls.

Daniel Leach played for Barnet last season having been signed by Ian Hendon after impressing in pre-season matches last season. Leach, born in Australia, had been playing in American university football before coming to England looking to find an English league club. Leach made 15 first team appearances for Barnet last season and also had a loan spell at Dover. He was released at the end of last season but new Bees’ manager, Mark Stimson has decided that he is worth anew contract with Barnet.

All three players will be in contention for a place in the side that faces Southampton at Underhill tonight. Barnet have beaten Watford and Charlton in their last two pre-season friendlies.
