No score from the Recreation ground at half time

Paul Fairclough made two changes from the side that lost at home to Morecambe at the weekend for the trip to Aldershot. Liam O’Brien came in for Jake Cole who was not fit enough to start the match and Anthony Pulis came in to the centre of midfield in place of Rossi Jarvis. Surprisingly, new loan signing, Jake Midson had to settle for a place on the bench. There was also no place on the bench for Mauro Vilhete, while youth team goalkeeping coach, Matt Doyle was on the bench as substitute goalkeeper.

The first half was a fairly even affair. Mark Byrne almost put the Bees ahead just after the half hour with a powerful shot from inside the area that brought a fine save from Jamie Young, the Shots’ keeper.

Meanwhile, Burton are a goal down at home to Stevenage and Morecambe are also losing 1-0, at home to Macclesfield in the struggle at the bottom of League Two. Hereford are drawing 0-0 at out of form, Port Vale.
