A round up of Saturday's matches at the bottom of League Two

Barnet's magnificent 4-1 home win over Bradford City was just the tonic that the Bees' fans and manager, Ian Hendon and his team needed as the club climbed two places to 20th place above Grimsby Town and Chester. The Bees who won with goals from Albert Adomah, John O'Flynn, Yannick Bolasie and Joe Devera are now eight points clear of Bournemouth who are second from bottom. Devera's goal was his first for the club and the win was the Bees first win under Ian Hendon. Michael Boulding scored the goal for Bradford City.

Chester who had lost their last six matches gained a point in a goalless draw at home to Exeter City but have dropped a place to 21st following Barnet's win over Bradford. Grimsby town lost 1-0 away at Darlington whose goal came in the 87th minute through Curtis Main.

Accrington Stanley threw away a chance of three points, when Tony Roberts saved Andy Procter's penalty in the goalless draw at home to Dagenham & Redbridge. Accrington remain in 19th place just below Rotherham on goal difference and 3 points above Barnet.

Apart from Barnet, the only side in the bottom six to win were Luton Town who defeated Shrewsbury Town 3-1 at Kenilworth Road. Promotion chasing Shrewsbury have a very poor away record with just one away win all season. Tom Craddock put the Hatters ahead, only for Ben Davies to equalise for the Shrews. Goals from Sam Parkin and Asa Hall won the match for Luton who now have 5 points following their 30 points deduction at the start of the season. They are now 18 points from safety and 13 points behind Bournemouth who lost 1-0 at Chesterfield on Friday night.

Next Tuesday, Accrington are at home to Luton, while Bournemouth travel to Dagenham & Redbridge and Grimsby are at home to Morecambe. Bees' fans will be keeping a very close eye on the results of these three games, I'm sure.
